FIRST APPOINTMENT

In order to provide you with the best dental care, we start you out with an appointment with Dr. Ki or Dr. Allen. This gives you an opportunity to get to know the staff at our clinc and to meet with our dentist in order to discuss questions and other matters. Your initial appointment will include the following:

Review of Your Medical History

Dental and medical conditions are sometimes connected together. For example, research is now linking poor dental care with heart disease and stroke. Some medications can actually cause damage to your teeth and put you more at risk of tooth decay and loss. By reviewing your medical and dental history, Drs. Ki and Allen are able to recommend a dental care program that will benefit you the most. For example, if you do take certain prescriptions that have a history of affecting oral health, one suggestion may be coming in more frequently for dental exams and cleaning.

Question and Answer

During this appointment, you are encouraged to ask any questions that you may have regarding your dental health. It is important to establish open communication with our dentistry office so that we can better serve your needs. Drs. Ki and Allen will address your questions and explain things to you in a way that is easy for you to understand. A treatment plan will be made and discussed at this time and appropriate x-rays will be taken.
